The secret of sitting comfortably in a cross legged position is to raise the pelvis so that the knees can rest on the floor creating a tri-pod effect. If you take 2 bath towels and fold them up 4 times you should end up with a pile about 4 inches high. Sit with the legs stretched out in front first of all, then perch your bottom on the edge of the pile to get a comfy pose. Bring one heal into your groin first and see if you can put the knee down – IMPORTANT don’t force it. Try one foot bent in at a time first and then bring the second one to sit on the floor just in front of the first.
