Over half term, why not practice this hip – opening posture?
Take 5 breaths – elongating the spine on the inhale and then relaxing the thigh muscles and abdomen on the exhale.
Variations on a Theme…
Place the hands behind you and lift up the heart space for 5 breaths
Come to centre on an inhale
Exhale and hinge forward from the hips keeping the spine long
5 breaths + come up on an inhale
Breath in and raise right arm exhale and bend to the left supporting yourself with the left hand on the floor – 5 breaths
Repeat with the left arm
Finally – finish with the original practice – try drawing up in the centre of the pelvic floor as you inhale.
Take Vajrasana as a counterpose.
