Yoga In Education

Research On Yoga in Education are running a Taster Day – 6th July 2013.

9.30 – 4.30 at a venue in London 10 mins from Clapham South tube.

Please email to book a place.  Designed for school teachers, support staff, parents and therapists.  No experience of yoga is necessary.

Just like adults, children can gain great benefits from yoga.  Yoga At School cites the following as the FIVE main areas of benefit that can be seen from using yoga in an educational environment:

1) Concentration

2) Behaviour

3) Physical fitness

4) Relaxation & Calming

5) Well-being & self esteem

Improvements in these areas don’t happen just because the children (or adult!) performs a series of postures…  these benefits can only develop over time provided that:

(a) Practice is regular because students are enthusiastic about yoga
(b) Students are taught by teachers with the who are passionate and make it fun
(c) All five of the above areas are taught within each and every session

If you know anyone who might be interested in learning more, please pass on these details.
