Fancy doing something a little different this Saturday? Join us for a morning yoga retreat.

Saturday 13th February 10 – 12.30 online

Our morning will begin with a gentle class working with breath and movement. I will guide you towards the bridge pose on a journey that will include alignment of the joints and efficient use of the muscles. This section will close with a guided relaxation introducing the Chakras and their positions along the spine.

We’ll break for 30 minutes at around 11.00.

Coming back together at 11.30 for the second part of our morning. We’ll focus more on energy in this part, moving in the spinal pathway taking several postures (including the bridge from earlier) to work on smooth movements flowing through the Chakras. The morning will conclude with a guided relaxation to sooth body, mind, and spirit and surround ourselves with a rainbow of colours and energy.

If you’d like to learn more about the Chakras beforehand, you can read this post

The classic bridge pose is excellent for easing back ache
Apanasana is great for your hips, lower back and digestive system

The morning will consist of 2 1-hour classes live on Saturday 13th February 10 – 12.30. This will be available for you to watch at any time and as many times until Saturday 20th February. This means that you can fit it into your life when it suits you and re-watch any parts of the class that you would like to see/hear again.

This morning yoga is suitable for all, no experience of yoga is necessary, but a general level of fitness is assumed. If you have any restrictions, injuries or have not done any exercise for 3 months please contact me directly to let me know your condition. I can then help you to make an informed decision as to the suitability of the practice. Sorry it won’t be suitable for pregnancy.

Saturday morning online yoga – 13th February 2021

The Rainbow Bridge

You simply need a clear floor space of about 9ft x 6ft (3m x 2m), carpeted is ideal. If you have a hard floor then find a picnic rug, throw or blanket to lay underneath you for some elements. A large bath towel or wool blanket would be useful too. You will need to have Wi-Fi to connect to Facebook plus a device – laptop or tablet – somewhere that you can see. You can read this post about setting up your home yoga space.
