My ‘Introduction To Yoga’ course begins on 8th June and will be Streamed Live each Monday evening online. The recording of the class is then available for you to watch as and when you like until the next class. It’s suitable for men and women over the age of 18. The cost for the 6 weeks online course is £30.

Each week I’ll guide you through a range of physical and relaxation exercises so that you can experience the benefits of yoga. We’ll cover the anti-arthritic range of movements plus basic postures. These take up little space and are ideal to practice at home. In addition to the physical movements, an essential part of yoga is breathing. Therefore, I’ll introduce breathing techniques from the first session to improve breathing capacity.
Yoga has many benefits and is suitable for all levels of fitness. In this Introduction to Yoga Course our gentle posture work will increase gradually over the weeks. This develops students flexibility and joint mobility. Over time muscles strengthen, lengthen and tone. Additionally, the circulation improves and physical balance is brought about – all with gentle, moderate and regular practice. Each session ends with a guided relaxation practice and students generally find that by helping the body to relax it improves and enhances their sleep pattern, relieves stress and dissolves muscle tension that may have been built up over many years.

What happens in an online yoga class?
I will invite you to each class with an email. Within the email will be a link to the private Facebook Group. I begin the Live Streaming 15 minutes beforehand so that you can get yourself all set up ready for the class. Breathing exercises form an essential part of yoga and we begin these from the first class. As part of each class we will learn a little about the history and philosophy of yoga as this helps us to develop our minds as well as our physical body.
