These gentle yoga classes are for men and women of all ages and fitness levels. This is an ideal class for beginner students or those with some restrictions or injuries. The cost for 6 weeks of online classes is £40.
Gentle Yoga Classes – What to expect
First of all we will have a few minutes of breath awareness or other quiet practice so that we can get focused. We then move on to warm up the body and move through a range of yoga exercises. The pace of the class is slow to give plenty of time for explanations. As a result we can use modifications wherever we need to. The emphasis in this class is on building a safe practice. Consequently providing a foundation to strengthen and tone areas of the body where there may be problems.
The yoga session continues with breathing exercises which develop a greater awareness of the subtle energy in the body. Finally, we round off the class with a meditation or relaxation exercise.
This gentle yoga class is suitable for able students with no prior knowledge of yoga. Moving at a slower pace gives more time to understand how the mind and body work together for good health. This is especially beneficial to people leading stressful lives, self employed or with high profile jobs.
