My online yoga classes offer a range of sessions suitable from beginner to advanced and for all levels of fitness. They are especially designed for limited spaces with easy to follow instructions. It’s very simple to set up – all you need is a clear space in your home to lay out fully on the floor and a device connected to the internet. I’m happy to walk you through the set up if you are unsure.
“Loads of yoga on YouTube of course but it lacks the personal touch and, for the most part, aimed at high performers, leaving folk like me feeling quite inadequate. Keep up the good work. You’re most appreciated.”Tony, Uppingham

Cost of classes
Online classes are taught in courses of 6 weeks which gives a chance to learn about a particular posture or theme. Once a booking is made you’ll be invited to join a closed Facebook group. The class will be Streamed Live at the time indicated and afterwards the recording will be available on the group page for you to watch on ‘catch up’ whenever you want. You can repeat the class throughout the week – many students have found this ideal during lockdown.
My in-person classes will hopefully resume in September. You can see the proposed timetable here
Online Yoga Classes – Gentle Yoga
These classes are 90 minutes long and are suitable for beginners, students with some experience and people with restrictions. We move at a fairly slow pace which gives time for modifications, explanations and the use of props. Demonstrations are given and each persons postural alignment is checked to ensure safe practice.
Online Yoga for Vitality
These classes are 90 minutes long and are aimed at students who are relatively fit or experienced at yoga. We explore the postures with longer holds and physical challenges. Our pranayama practice will develop a deeper sense of the subtle body. The pace will assume some knowledge of yoga techniques and a reasonable level of fitness. We will use chanting, and various means of relaxation/meditation.
Online Introduction to Yoga
My ‘Introduction To Yoga’ course begins on 8th June and will be Streamed Live each Monday evening online. It’s suitable for men and women over the age of 18. Each week I’ll guide you through a range of physical and relaxation exercises so that you can experience the benefits of yoga. We’ll cover the anti-arthritic range of movements plus basic postures. These take up little space and are ideal to practice at home. In addition to the physical movements, an essential part of yoga is breathing. Therefore, I’ll introduce breathing techniques from the first session to improve breathing capacity.
Online Yoga for a Good Night’s Sleep
Yoga has many benefits and a gentle practice has been scientifically proven to aid a good night’s sleep. In this ‘yoga for a good night’s sleep’ course our gentle posture work will develop each students’ flexibility and joint mobility. Over time, even deeply ingrained tension will dissolve leaving relaxed muscles. Additionally, the circulation improves and physical balance is brought about. This happens with gentle, moderate and regular practice. Each session ends with a few deep breaths so that students can go about their daily business. Of course, the recording can also be used directly before bedtime or in cases of insomnia. Students generally find that by helping the body to relax it improves and enhances their sleep pattern.
Online Meditation Classes
Would you like to learn meditation? Anyone can do it and our online meditation classes aim to show you how. We’ll begin with a relaxation exercise followed by a variety of short seated meditations. In between we’ll go through a few movements to strengthen the back and open the hips. As the weeks go by students will become more comfortable in their sitting position thus making it easier to relax and concentrate. Each class will last for 60 minutes.
Why choose a do yoga! class?
do yoga! classes are planned in detail beforehand. Each class builds knowledge and understanding as the weeks and terms go on. In this way students develop thorough understanding of themselves, their bodies and of the yoga tradition. Home practice/reading on topics covered is encouraged by way of a newsletter emailed monthly. This produces competent students who are able to develop their own personal practice and yogic lifestyle as they see fit. I also foster a supportive, community spirit. If you would like to join us you will be made most welcome by myself and the other members of the group.
