The ‘Yoga for a Good Night’s Sleep’ course begins on 8th June and will be Streamed Live each Monday evening 7.30 – 8.30. In addition, the recording will be available to students throughout the following week to re-use as often as needed. Students can re-watch or re-listen to the class to help them enjoy a good night’s sleep. It’s suitable for men and women over the age of 18. Each week I’ll guide you through a range of gentle physical and breathing exercises to ease out tension in the body. There will be an extended relaxation exercise called Yoga Nidra which is a fantastic way to calm the mind. These exercises will take up little space and are ideal to practice in the comfort of your own home. The cost for the 6 weeks of classes is £30.

Yoga has lots of benefits and has been scientifically proven to aid a good night’s sleep.  For instance, the breathing exercises are particularly useful for insomnia and slow movements help to quiet the mind. This is an online yoga class and is suitable for men and women of all fitness levels. It’s best to set up at least 10 minutes before the class begins so that you can lay out your mat and set up your device. The Live Streaming begins 15 minutes before the class starts. The gentle posture work will develop each students’ flexibility and joint mobility.  Over time, even deeply ingrained tension will dissolve leaving relaxed muscles. Additionally, the circulation improves and physical balance is brought about. This happens with gentle, moderate and regular practice. After the extended deep relaxation the session ends with a few deep breaths so that students can go about their daily business. Students generally find that by helping the body to relax it improves and enhances their sleep pattern.

What happens in an online yoga class?

I will invite you to each class with an email which will contain a link to the private Facebook Group. I’ll begin the Live Streaming 15 minutes beforehand to give you plenty of time to set up and get ready for the class. We begin the class with breathing exercises as these are a great way to settle the body and focus the mind. The video below gives a taster of my online classes.
