Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy offers an opportunity for individuals to have a 1-2-1 session with me to develop a personal practice for you to use daily, or as and when required.  The beauty of this is that your yoga practice is personally designed around you… This can be very helpful for a variety of situations – perhaps you suffer from general aches and pains or have difficulty sleeping?  Many ailments and conditions respond well to yoga practice as they are developed to treat the whole person – body, mind and soul. Examples of conditions that respond well to yoga therapy –

– back ache

– joint problems

– insomnia

– menopausal symptoms

– anxiety

Sessions last between 1 – 1 1/2 hours and are available in my yoga room on Monday afternoon and Tuesday mornings. Each appointment begins with a consultation followed by a series of asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing practices). This would then be documented  to enable your home practice.  The session ends with a specially designed deep relaxation exercise which you are welcome to record to use at home. Relaxation is seen as an essential part of Yoga Therapy as it helps the body to heal itself. Please contact me if you would like to make an appointment or would like further information.
