Yoga Therapy/1-2-1 Yoga
A private yoga session offers an opportunity for individuals to have a 1-2-1 session with me to tackle specific issues, develop a personal practice or simply learn more about yoga. The beauty of this is that your yoga practice is personally designed around you… This can be very helpful for a variety of situations – perhaps you suffer from general aches and pains or have difficulty sleeping? Many ailments and conditions respond well to yoga practice as they are developed to treat the whole person – body, mind and soul. Please feel free to contact me for a preliminary discussion.
Examples of conditions that respond well to yoga therapy are back ache, joint problems, insomnia, menopausal symptoms and anxiety.
Sessions last 1 hour and are available in my yoga room on Monday afternoon and Tuesday mornings. Each appointment begins with a short consultation followed by a series of asana (postures) and pranayama (breathing practices). Where appropriate this would be documented to enable your home practice. The session ends with a specially designed deep relaxation exercise. Relaxation is seen as an integral part of yoga as it provides the environment for the body to heal itself. Please contact me if you would like to make an appointment or would like further information.
