Are you ready to embark on a transformative yoga journey? Our Beginners Yoga Classes are designed to guide you step-by-step, focusing on different parts of the body to build a strong foundation in yoga practice. Over six terms, you’ll experience the benefits of yoga through carefully selected postures, breathing practices, guided relaxations, and inspiring yogic quotes. Here’s a sneak peek into what you can expect:

Term 1: Feel the Earth Beneath Your Feet

Strengthening and grounding poses for safety and security in your practice

“Just as a tree’s roots are its foundation, so are your feet the foundation of your body in yoga.”

Term 2: Do the Hippy Shake

Opening and releasing the hips helping to relieve the lower back.

“In the practice of yoga, the hips are often referred to as the body’s emotional junk drawer.”

Term 3: You’re as Old as Your Spine is Flexible

Find flexibility and strength with forward and back bending postures.

“A flexible spine equals a flexible mind.”

Term 4: Focus on Shoulders

Strength and mobility in the shoulders helps the head and neck to be relaxed.

“Relax your shoulders, soften your stance, breathe, and release.”

Term 5: Helping Our Hands

Simple exercises to help reduce problems such as arthritis and carpel tunnel.

“In the hands of a yogi, the world becomes more tangible, more real.”

Term 6: The Head and The Senses

Clarity and calmness come from a calm mind; restraining the senses will help with this.

“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” – The Bhagavad Gita
